Joining the company over 20 years ago, the initial draw was the opportunity for learning and taking on new challenges. The role seemed like the perfect fit for my career goals, offering a chance to grow within a respected and established organization. The company not only provided this platform but also allowed me to expand my skills and responsibilities over time.

A Memorable Start

Early in my journey, the company trusted me with increasing responsibilities and promoted me accordingly. One standout moment was when I presented a paper on lifting two 120-ton pans using jacks without cutting the pans - an innovative approach that reinforced my drive to tackle challenges head-on. This encouragement and acknowledgment of my contributions set the tone for my career.

Contributing to Evolution and Growth

Over the years, I've seen the company evolve significantly. Every day, my goal was to collaborate effectively with my team, ensuring jobs were completed within the schedule and using available resources efficiently. This dedication not only contributed to the company's growth but also helped in shaping a collaborative and dynamic work environment. I led key projects like the complete ETP project and the boiling house refinery project in 2013, following the guidance of senior leadership and adhering to legal compliances.

Overcoming Challenges

One of the most challenging times was in 2003 when a vacuum crystallizer collapsed just 15 days before the start of the crushing season. With swift planning and teamwork, we managed to fabricate a new crystallizer using in-house materials and had it up and running before the season began. This experience was a testament to the resilience and resourcefulness embedded in the company's culture.

The company recognizes and values skills, strengths, and capabilities, which creates a unique environment for professional development. Long-tenured employees like myself play a pivotal role in maintaining morale, stability, and reliability within the workforce. We help shape the company culture and guide newer employees. Mentors such as Mr. Anil Tyagi, Mr. O.P. Mishra, and Dr. Ashok have significantly influenced my career, encouraging me to explore different functional areas beyond my primary responsibilities. Their guidance has been instrumental in my journey from Assistant Engineer to AGM (E).

The camaraderie and teamwork are exemplified in instances like the 2005 boiling house project, completed within schedule and budget through collective effort.
