OVERVIEW
The captive power is used to fulfil the energy demand of our plants, while the surplus is sold to the power grid. We currently operate 3 grid-connected large capacity co-generation plants, and 3 smaller capacity co-generation plants (incidental co-generation facilities) at 5 of our sugar units, in Khatauli, Deoband, Chandanpur, Milak Narayanpur, and Sabitgarh.
The plants are extremely modern and designed to conduct fully automated operations, using the latest Distributed Control System (DCS). Highly experienced and skilled manpower runs these plants, thus ensuring trouble-free, efficient operations with high uptime. Our co-generation plants at Khatauli and Deoband are rated among the most efficient co-generation plants in India, underscoring our unwavering commitment to value and excellence. We have power purchase agreements with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) for all our co-generation facilities.
