A journey, where I have enjoyed the privilege of leading the Power Transmission Business to new horizons alongside my team.

To start with, I was responsible for the marketing of Triveni's Gas Turbine packaging business in Delhi. Next, I was appointed Business Manager to oversee the relocation of the business to Bengaluru and integrating it with the Turbine business then under Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd. The transition marked a significant milestone in my career.

An opportunity emerged in the Power Transmission Business, then called Gear Business Group or GBG, in the year 2001. As a part of the succession plan, I was given the responsibility of leading the sales and contracts management for the first 18 months before taking over as General Manager of the business.

Triveni's Power Transmission business comprises two thriving verticals. The Gear business, dealing in traditional high-speed gears, has been stable and continually expanding, making Triveni one of the most profitable gear companies globally. On the other hand, the rather dynamic Defence segment, started about 7 years ago, demands a significant portion of my time. Managing the Defence business involves navigating challenges like long gestation periods, finding partners globally, driving our own technology developments, getting us on the makers list, bidding processes and strategic planning.

I attribute this success to our team. Both the leadership and management teams have maintained zero attrition with members staying with us for 20-25 years. This continuity has fostered a deep understanding among the team members about our products, the dynamics of the business, technology and the requirements for developing new products, identifying gaps and progressing effectively.

Functionally, I have moved to three different businesses within the Company in three different geographic locations and that experience was unique. I grew professionally and evolved personally as the business diversified and expanded. I believe many things are not explicitly stated but must be intuitively understood and followed.

I have always found Triveni's incomparable work culture as truly enabling and inspiring. A culture that shapes you, as you shape it. Triveni provides significant freedom to operate which, in turn, fosters a sense of ownership.

The Power Transmission business especially encourages an entrepreneurial approach. Deep-rooted entrepreneurial thinking is essential for consistent performance and it's something we aim to cultivate over time. I've coined the term, 'Intrepreneurship.' It involves making decisions that may extend beyond your official authority and lie outside your purview, but are in the best interest of the Company. My conviction comes from knowing that these decisions will be supported by the management.

This way of working is not only exciting but also well-supported in Triveni. I've had the privilege of working in various businesses at Triveni, earning recognition early on. It feels very fulfilling when the management trusts you and you consistently meet their expectations. Being involved in the Company's strategy and vision formulation, executing plans while ensuring everyone is on board, has been a thrilling experience.

I also use the term "Triveni Family" with my team at Mysuru as well as with our stakeholders. In fact, we have built such a strong and symbiotic web of relations over a period of time that we have never had a single day of halt in our plant.

With these values, the sense of being a part of the 'Triveni family' and the spirit of 'intrepreneurship,' we are always geared to take Triveni Power Transmission business to a vibrant future in new and dynamic ways.
